AFFILIATE MARKETING

I just launched two new affiliate websites this week, one to promote an e-book about making money on the internet, and the other a keyword search software program. Both are products which I use and which I have found very helpful. When something works for me, I like to tell others about it. And I can do it with genuine confidence.

There's a lot to be said about affiliate marketing. It sets me free to work my own time from any place in the world. And I can market the products and services which interest me. No more having to get up early in the morning (I'm a night-owl, not a lark), wondering what to wear for work, rushing to get ready, fighting commuter traffic, and trying to stay alert in the office even though I may be tired. And I can go on vacation anytime I like!

I enjoy researching products and writing for my websites. And learning new marketing srategies is fun! Looking at my peer group from university days, I feel that many of them have started to grow old in their thinking, being set in their ways and comfort zone. They even look older than I do.

I'll be on vacation from this weekend to the next. Already, I can hardly wait to get back, as I have another affiliate website to launch and lots of internet marketing plans to flesh out. I'll try not to think about all this while I'm island cruising, or relaxing in the spa. I'll try not to spend too much time on my computer when I'm in my villa by the beach.

Really, I'll try. I'll even try not to dream about affiliate marketing or any kind of internet marketing. Honestly. It won't be easy, because I really enjoy it. Of all the ways to make money, this is the best!

POOLSIDE INTERNET MARKETING

Sunny Thailand, here I come! In just a couple of weeks, I'll be vacationing at a US$500-a-day villa at a resort in Phuket, Thailand. Mmmm, I can hardly wait. I need a break from doing website promotion. I'm so looking forward to relaxing in my private spa, beach bumming, and just spacing out.

Well, almost. I'll be bringing my trusty laptop along, of course. No way am I going to neglect my internet marketing. Okay, okay, I should have chosen a place without internet connection, but I couldn't help myself. I love internet marketing. I don't have to be an employee anymore, or wake up early, now that I know how to make money on the internet.

They think that I'm unemployed and sleep all day. Poor things! They don't know what they're missing out on.

The internet is really liberating. I can take the day off anytime, or travel, knowing that my various web businesses are making money for me 24/7. I was poor before, and I never want to be poor ever again. With internet marketing, I'll never be helpless again. Thank you Jesus!

The Rich Jerk's secrets to successful website marketing are condensed into less than 60 pages, once you exclude the Table of Contents and disclaimer pages. In this age of information overload, this actually works in his favor, as the e-book is easy to read. Even so, the e-book is packed with bite-sized information on successful website marketing. The section on how to effectively use "Google Adwords" was good stuff.

The guy even shares some unorthodox website promotion methods as well as ways to make money online. Some of his approaches have been described as 'black hat', or borderline illegal. Put politely, it refers to the use and exploitation of knowlege of system vulnerabilities for profit. For instance, he discusses cloaking, an effective website marketing technique if utilized correctly and carefully, but dangerous at the same time as it can get your website banned by Google. To be honest, morsels like this makes his e-book even more delicious to read. Forbidden fruit tastes sweeter, as they say.

There aren't many website promotion gurus who will will walk on the wild side like the Rich Jerk.
